Race Day Schedule (Tentative)
6:00am Transition area opens.
6:15am Body marking and chip pick up area open. Please have your bib number in hand to expedite chip pick up.
7:15am Chip pick up area closed. Brief meeting with race official near transtition area.
7:20am Transition area closes.
7:31am Physically Challenged athletes start.
7:45am Age 60 and over women followed by women in descending age group order (55-59,50-54,45-49,40-44,35-39,30-34,25-29,20-24, & 15-19) Age 60 and over men followed by men in descending age group order (55-59,50-54,45-49,40-44,35-39,30-34,25-29,20-24, & 15-19). Aquabike to follow age groupers followed by Relay Teams.
10:45am Awards
If for any reason the swim is cancelled due to safety or weather, this race will held as a duathlon. Also if for some reason the open water swim cannot be held in Sloan's Lake then all contestants will swim in the Municipal pool. The course will be shortened to 500 meters for all contestants and will be a snake style swim. Swim order will be based on fastest to slowest estimated swim times and not by age group.
Awards
The top 3 finishers in each age group will receive awards. Awards will also be given for overall winner in Men's and Women's division and for overall Clydesdale(200# and up) and Athena(150# and up) winner. Physically Challenged and Team Relays winner will also receive awards.
Seperate awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group for those competing in pool swim and for those competing in lake swim.
In the Aquabike event, there will be awards for 1st thru 3rd place for two age groups, 20-39 and 40 & above, in both the female and male categories.
